SSD Cache / Volume 2

    Hallo zusammen,

    habe mal eine Frage. Aktuell habe ich 4x 24 TB HDD´s mit 2x 2TB SSD Cache in Volume 1 konfiguriert.

    Da allerdings meine VM´s ich ebenso auf die HDD´s Volume 1 installierten musste und die UGOS Apps etc sind die Platten nie im Standby bzw. Performance in Sachen VMs.

    Ist es nicht besser die SSD´s als Volume 2 zu erstellen und dort die Docker, VMs etc. zu installieren?. Reicht der Cache von den RAMS da trotzdem aus?

    Hat jemand hier Erfahrung ?

    Auf jeden Fall, auch die Apps auf den NVMEs installieren.

    64GB RAM reichen da gut dafür.

    Nur durch Neuinstallation, aber wenn die Apps auf den HDDs bleiben, dann laufen da auch bei jedem Zugriff auf die Apps die HDDs an.

    Wenn alles auf den NVMEs ist, kann man auch arbeiten ohne dass die HDDs anlaufen, zumindest solange wie kein aktiver Zugriff auf die HDDs erfolgt.
